+Basic Photo Concepts: Quickie is a more compressed version of the two-night class and moves at a sprinter’s pace.

+Portrait Photography will be a one-morning workshop that will touch on different types of portraiture from a historical perspective, as well as talk about what techniques are useful to beginning portraitists and what tools they might like to have in their camera bag.

+Sports and Action Photography with Bill Meyer is a VERY special workshop. This hands-on experience will teach participants the techniques used by professional sports photographers as they capture sports action from the sidelines for newspapers and magazines. The three-part program will feature a field trip to photograph a cyclocross event, learning how to anticipate and stop the action while getting immediate feedback. The program will start a classroom presentation of photographs and a discussion of the equipment and techniques used to stop action as well as a follow-up class to review the photographs after the field trip.

Bill Meyer has a wealth of photographic experience after a 37-year career as a photojournalist for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Twice named Photographer of the Year by the Wisconsin News Photographers Association, Bill has won numerous national, regional and state awards for his work. In addition to photographing the Olympics, he has covered the World Series, the Rose Bowl, numerous NCAA Championships and the Indy 500 as well as the Packers, Brewers and Bucks.
