Feb 2020 Photowalk — Milwaukee
--
In late February of 2020, a whole bunch of local photographers came together for some community-shakin’ and photo-makin’! We met on a Saturday morning at The Coffee Bean, near the intersection of Wisconsin and Water, in downtown Milwaukee.
The plan was this: 9a-meet at the Bean, 915a-hit the streets, 1030a-finish at the Milwaukee Art Museum, 1045a-go see the Portrait of Milwaukee exhibit at the museum.
I was out making pics with a Canon 5DIV and Tamron 35/1.4 (both from our Rental Dept), and a Canon 200mm/2.8 II (from our Used Dept, still available).
A great time was had by all! I’m certain that our turnout was so great, in big part, because of the support we received from street_mke and velta.365 on Instagram. If you’re on IG, make sure to look at the #street_mke_meetup tag!
We’ll be having another street-photography event in May. That one will be open to all photographers, and will be put on with support from Olympus — they will have demo-gear to try out! :) Find more details HERE.
And here’s that Canon EF 200/2.8 from Used that I mentioned!
