March 2021: SLOW film
We recently got some sloooooow, LOW ISO film in stock, and I had to try it out! The Film Photography Project LOW ISO B+W Film comes to us with a rated ISO of SIX! Yep, you heard me right — ISO 6!
So, I grabbed a classic PENTAX SPOTMATIC and a Pentax Super-Takumar 50mm/1.4 screwmount lens, and went out to shoot a roll! (also, our screwmount cameras are on sale right now — choose a body, and then draw a discount from the hat — you’ll get 5%, 10%, or 15% off your Used camera and lens!)
It was pretty neat, again using a handheld meter to determine my shutter speed and aperture. Once I got through the 24-exposure roll, I brought it back to our store, where John processed the film for me (as he does all our customers’ B+W film!).
So, if you want to try a new B+W film, with a really low sensitivity, check this out! And, if you want that B+W film or anything B+W film processed (and printed), we can do that, too! We’re Mike Crivello’s — your full-service photography-store!
