You Don’t Need to Spend Thousands…
…because Used equipment is pretty great!
A lot of people come into our store, after spending hourssss on various websites, getting ideas for what equipment that they should purchase. And often they get pretty standards ideas: spend tons of $$, buy full-frame, buy the lates and greatest…and none of those suggestions take into account what the people actually want to do with the cameras!
Here at our store, we know that just because a camera isn’t the latest model, doesn’t mean that you can’t make great pics with it! Our sales guy, Troy, took some of our Used equipment out to Harrington Beach last weekend to prove that point. The gear he took out sells for a total less than $500, for a full-frame, two-lens kit!
“Harrington Beach State Park has more than a mile of beach along Lake Michigan. This 715-acre park also features a white cedar and hardwood swamp, old field grasslands with restored wetland ponds and a scenic limestone quarry lake.”
Troy went out to Harrington with a good full-frame kit — a Canon 5D (original), EF 28–80mm lens, and Sigma EF 70–300mm lens. He walked along that mile of snowy beachfront, and around the quarry, too!
The 5D performed just peachy, and the two lenses were great and lightweight! If you’ve been hankering for full-frame, but can’t afford the latest and greatest, consider this rig!
- Canon 5D, $225
- Canon EF 28–80mm/3.5–5.6, $45
- Sigma EF 70–300mm, $30
- Canon 430EX flash, $40
- Lowepro sling bag, $25.
